By accessing or using SYLEN (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may not share your account or impersonate another person.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or threatening.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
  • Distribute spam, unsolicited promotions, or advertisements.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automatically collect data from the Service without written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.

4. Content You Post

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content on SYLEN, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce that content within the Service. You represent that you have the rights to grant this license.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.

5. Paper Submissions

Papers submitted through the conference submission system must be original work. Simultaneous submission to other venues that prohibit concurrent review is not permitted. By submitting, you warrant that the work is yours and does not infringe third-party rights. Accepted papers are published under a license to be specified at acceptance.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYSNET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING).

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
